On Monday, June 12, 2023, attorney Rachel Furst of Maderal Byrne & First PLLC will moderate a panel for the Greater Miami Jewish Federation Attorneys’ Division. 
“Litigating Through Tragedy: The Surfside Settlement Negotiation” features four speakers involved in the litigation of the Champlain Towers South collapse, including the presiding judge, court-appointed receiver, co-defense counsel and co-chair of the lead plaintiffs’ counsel. As lead plaintiffs’ counsel co-chair, Rachel will guide the conversation on how these outstanding members of the legal community navigated numerous sensitive and complicated issues to achieve a $1.2 billion settlement in less than a year in the wake of tragedy.
